I have to say reading all your comments it really looks as though the convention was worthwhile and a lot of fun.  I was unable to make it as my wife gave birth to our first child on the eighth (was due on the 16th) but I will definately go next year.  Anyway here is a gratuitous shot of my new daughter, Esme, the reason I wasnt there.

beautiful... well done all

Thanks everyone for the kind words. I dont want to hijack this thread but I am so damn proud that I try to crowbar in a couple of shots of her into as many forums as possible.

Anyway, back on topic.

Congratulations, she is just gorgeous.
I can confirm you that fathers and daughters will go better along than fathers and sons. I am the happy father of a three year old girlie, and is so nice the feeling when she jumps in my arms and she tells me: I love you so much, daddy! Of course, after all that, she will ask me to buy her some toy she seen at the TV, but that is such a small price to pay  ; Smiley
