Us and them. And after all we're only ordinary men

Hi All

I have organised a crew tandem skydive with Red Devils for the RNLI.

9 of us will be jumping from 13,000ft and (hopefully  laugh ) landing in Langar Airfield, Nottinghamshire on 6th October.

Every little helps and I would really appreciate any support...

Thanks for reading

Colin

About the RNLI

The RNLI is the charity that saves lives at sea. RNLI volunteer lifeboat crews provide a 24-hour search and rescue service around the coasts of the UK and the Republic of Ireland. RNLI lifeguards provide a seasonal lifeguard service on selected beaches. An average of 21 people are rescued every day from the water, in situations which are often difficult and sometimes dangerous. The RNLI is independent from Government, relying on donations for its income, so can only continue thanks to people like you. The RNLI is a charity registered in England and Wales (209603) and Scotland (SCO37736). Charity number CHY 2678 in the Republic of Ireland.

To show the true danger of the jump, see the Sky News article linked below, 3 weeks ago in the same airfield.

A little joke I found:

I asked the sky diving instructor “if the chute and the reserve fail, how long would it be till I hit the ground?” He answered “The rest of your life” – Cheeky git!

I done a parachute jump
and that is exactly what happened
I was beginning to panic
but
fortunately I spotted someone hurtling towards me
so I shouted
DO YOU KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT PARACHUTES
he said
NO, DO YOU KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT GAS STOVES
