Hi everyone

This is our first year entering the print competition and we would both like to enter prints, but sending them from Belgium is very expensive by courrier. Can we enter the competition by post and then bring our prints along with us? We will be arriving on Thursday.

I have another question concerning the size of the support as specified in the rules viz:

"The mount size of all entries must be 40.6 x 50.8cm (16 x 20 inches) and is specific. Even slightly undersized prints will not be securely held in the display mechanism – may drop unexpectedly and be damaged. "

Here in Europe we have a standard metric size for supports that is 40x50 cm and not 40.6 x 50.8cm. Inches are largely unknown here and all our mounts and mattes come in standard metric sizes. Sticking to the exact measurements as in the rules forces us to produce the mattes ourselves instead of of using standard ready made ones. This represents extra workload and expenses.

Will 40x50 cm be acceptable ? I am sure that all the other European entrants will have the same problem

Any help with this will be gratefully accepted

Am i right in thinking there is 1 prize only for wedding category in 20"x16", which is either a laptop or Wacom?

This will also be my first time entering.  I have read al the questions on the Competition, but please excuse me while I ask the following specific to clarify the situation for me.

The mount Size must be 20 x 16.  Can the actual print itself be any size so long as it fits into a 20x16 mount?

I believe you can but only on the strength of an image in the Convention Guide showing a judge looking at a panel with what looks like a 10x8 print! I used my portfolio laminates for my associateship since they are of the regulation outside dimensions but the actual images are 10x8in. It worked out less expensive too  Wink I would check with HQ though to be 100% sure.

Hi everyone
I have another question about the size of entries as it states in the rules

The size of the photographic image must be no smaller than10 x 8 inches - 20X25cm – or 80 square inches in whatever proportion.

I have photos that are 20.5 x 23.1 cms, they are already prepared and mounted. I realise that they are just a bit small but would this size be acceptable?

Any help would be greatly appreciated
