Thanks!

While you're here, is there a way to change my name on the left? Ie, to something else than my full name?

OK go to profile in the menu, then choose "Forum Profile Information" Then click "I will upload my own picture"

Use the browse option to choose from your pc to pick your image ... which keep about 30k in size

Then go to bottom and change profile, all done

Hello to all, greetings from recently thawed Bacup in Lancashire. A quick introduction, my name's Mark ( you might have guessed that bit already) recently decided to give up the grind of the NHS to pursue my dream of a full time career as a photographer ( though the recent near death serious illness did kind of realign my priorities in life- and it's too short to waste behind a desk!) - what do I bring to the society?- cakes usually - my wife is a demon cook! I shoot on Canon 5Dmk2's for those of you that are gear heads, and look forward to some interesting exchanges of ideas , handy hints etc etc.

Welcome to the forum Mark.

You'll find that apart from advice on your equipment (expanding/upgrading/selling/etc), there is little discussion apart from when new gear is released. What you WILL find, however, is a lot of knowledge and freely shared advice, help, hints and tips.

The folks here are very knowledgeable and friendly so jump right in, the water's lovely
