Well, just found this forum a couple of days ago, so about time to shout H E L L O!!!
I'm from damp Gloucestershire, been a member of the society for about 18 months, managed to get to one 'Mentor Me' portrait day in Leicester, which was pretty good, MGD is quite a character (I mean that in the nicest possible way) and on one of the Marylin Sholin seminars, also interesting. This year I'm determined to improve my wedding photography, so better start booking some more of these days.

I've not been on the forum for much longer than you...
I'm from damp Yorkshire - you can see a theme developing here can't you!!
I have found this a tremendous resource in the short time I've been here, and the wisdom condensed into these posts is worth the countless hours that you will - despite your best efforts - spend around here from now on.

Good to hear from you...I'm from the frozen North, damp, cold, windy and generally miserable....apart from that it's a reasonably nice place! Been on the forum since it started.

I know it is hard to beleive but it is a bit damp in Ayrshire too although I am glad to say the afternoons/evenings are getting lighter and we always are glad of more light.
