Last night I drew up a shortlist of weddings to use for a couple of new display albums, last night it was on my desk today I can't find it? It's the same with pens, where do they go?
My other half says there is an "invisible washing and ironing fairy" who lives in our house, this must be true because all my clothes are miraculously there, clean and ironed, when i pull open a drawer or open the wardrobe.
Does this mean that there could also be pen and paper Gremlins that steal from us as we sleep?

At least you are only losing lists and pens. Last week my computer failed and so I had a new one built. Could I find my Photoshop CS2 disc or registartion key details or anything? No, hunted high and low turning the house, studio and office upside down. In the end I phone Adobe and order CS4 which arrived in the post earlier this morning. What is now sitting in my intray laughing at me? CS2 I guess if nothing else my shiny new computer has a shiny new program. And my credit card is £640 down. You can buy a lot of pens for that.

I dread the day when some piece of software fails and and I have to reload it. Disc, what disc?!!
It's the same with fuel and postage receipts, they only go from my wallet to the receipt folder, how can they not be there when I do my accounts?

Washing and ironing fairies need appropriate payment for their magic. If it's not paid voluntarily, I believe they normally take this in the form of things you actually need - even if only to move them to somewhere you wont readily find them again. This may on occasion be the children's room to throw the transgressor off the fairies' scent, although it is rarely the children that reove such items.
Repeated failure to pay on time results in an affliction known as stairs brain emptying or SBE. SBE is when you know what you want on your way upstairs, but on your ascent, your brain empties rendering you scratching your bonce wondering what on earth you came up for. Serial offenders in non payment of fairy fees can experience as many as five ascents before you remember what it actually is you came upstairs for. The worst offenders can lose whole copies of CS2.

I'd better start coughing up, SBE strikes at least twice a day

Sorry folks - Idle thumbs at work here. I don't have an appointment until this afternoon and I made the mistake of having a peek at the forum. My own stairs need a vacuum, but I've already hung up two loads of washing.

We have a huge bag of odd socks in my house... and I don't have a pair to put on most days --- but when you empty the odd sock bag to check, it is def full of single odd socks (not a pair to be seen)... I've heard rumours about "the sock vortex" and I'm convinced I have one in my house!

The trick is to only buy black ones, doesn't stop you starting with ten pairs and ending up with one pair but at least they will still match

You have obviously never heard of the sock gnomes! Perhaps there is a lack of socks so they move onto pens and such?

Smudge you have started something now by waking up the Gremlins. I've lost an order form for a Brides Mother's album, it's vanished

If you want to see a house in utter chaos where everything has disappeared come to ours. Half the stuff is in boxes, no pens to be found, and the phone keeps ringing but be damned if I can find the phone anywhere if it wasnt for the receiver thing I wouldnt know anyone was phoning Still 48 hours and we will have moved and then definatley wont find anything for a week or two
